Terms of service

Terms of service

Working draft. Before publishing, please ask a UK solicitor or consumer-rights specialist to review. Bracketed items need to be filled in with the studio's registered details.

These are the terms on which Pedro Trindade sells pieces through pedrotrindade.co.uk. Please read them before placing an order; using the site or buying from it means you accept what's written here.

The studio is small, and we've kept the language plain so the terms can be read quickly. They are still binding. If anything is unclear, the studio is at contact@pedrotrindade.co.uk.

1. Who we are

Pedro Trindade is a clothing studio based in North London, United Kingdom.

You can reach us at contact@pedrotrindade.co.uk.

2. The site and these terms

These terms apply to anyone who uses pedrotrindade.co.uk and to every order placed through it. We may update them from time to time; the version in force when you place your order is the one that governs that order.

3. Placing an order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We accept that offer when we send a confirmation email; at that point a contract is formed between you and us.

We may decline an order — for example, if a piece is no longer available, if there is an error in price or description, or if we cannot verify payment. If we decline, we'll tell you and refund anything you've already paid.

4. Pricing

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where applicable. Shipping is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay.

If a piece is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full; we'll always contact you first.

5. Payment

Payment is taken at the point of order, through the payment providers shown at checkout. Orders are not produced or shipped until payment is received in full.

6. Shipping and delivery

We ship from London to the destinations listed at checkout. Delivery times are estimates; we will let you know if there is a delay.

Risk in the piece passes to you on delivery. Title passes to you once payment has been received in full.

7. Returns and exchanges

Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by the studio's [returns policy]. In summary: refunds within fourteen (14) days, exchanges within thirty (30) days, return shipping paid by the customer, and refunds issued once the piece has been received back in original condition.

8. Your right to cancel (UK / EU consumers)

If you are a consumer based in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within fourteen (14) days of delivery without giving a reason. To exercise that right, write to us at contact@pedrotrindade.co.uk before the fourteen days are up, and return the piece within fourteen (14) days of giving notice. The piece must be unworn and in original condition.

This statutory right does not apply to pieces made or altered to your specifications, such as bespoke commissions or made-to-measure orders.

9. Quality

Each piece is made by hand in a small studio. Small variations between pieces — in cloth, hand-finishing, weight, or colour — are part of how the work is made, and are not faults.

If you receive a piece that is faulty or not as described, write to us within a reasonable time and we will repair, replace or refund as required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Intellectual property

All designs, photographs, written copy, and graphics on the site are the intellectual property of Pedro Trindade or used under licence. They may not be copied, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the price paid for that order. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed.

12. Privacy

We handle the personal information you share with us in accordance with our privacy policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site at the moment you place an order is the one that governs it.

14. Governing law

These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you are a consumer with the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
